Clement grows over 40 different eatable garden plants on his small farm. David and Gaynell, Directors of The Foundation for Amateur International Radio Service (FAIRS) visited Dominica in February 2009. They lived and operated amateur radio from the Pierre-Louis J73CPL J73HPL home as J79WWW and J79WW , making about 1500 contacts during the week. David and Gaynell also did FAIRS mission work with the radio amateurs of Dominica and provided medical supplies to the hospital in Roseau and the clinic in Castle Bruce. They enjoyed the fresh fruit and vegetables from Clements farm everyday. It was a great 2 weeks of work and visiting old friends. This was the 17th visit in the past 14 years. Hi 3mark Sounds like you are in Australia ? Do you have interest in doing something like this in 'Zimbabwe ? My wife and I have not been to Africa but some of our "Foundation for Amateur International Radio Service' (FAIRS) have been to Africa and Zimbabwe. @lcfgroup I know they have it in parts of Australia so its not that fa fetched. One would get the agriculture and forestry schools interested and then develop a small budget for pilot projects in test gadens such as schools and hospitals and so on! It wouldnt be too hard.
