@VinnyMartello Hope you didn't take too much metal off, could throw off the balence

why the hell is using a claw hammer not a ball pine

Thanks bro

I'm having issues getting my caps off right now as we speak. The S.O.B. wont come off! how in gods name do they come off? it doesnt make sense to keep pounding them forward when they cant go any more forward! i dont understand the concept of that lol.yeah,i need help.

Excellent video, well done. I would offer the PSA that using a socket as a driving tool will eventually damage the socket, especially when used with an extension in it. If you don't have a press and absolutely must use a socket, do so without the extension bar so the internal partition of the socket is not stressed.

Nice thank you

i have a question i am hearing some weird popping noise from my rear end and im driveing a lifted chevy truck and when i get underneath the ubolts are tight and have been torqued, i even bought 70dollar ones the 5/8s bolts to really hold it down back therebut still hearing it when i turn slowly or drive through a parking lot at slow speeds also upon inspection i saw two of the bolts on the universal joint are scraping against the drive shaft, there are 4bolts and only 2 do it what causes this

Great job. Just the way I do it. The hardest part is keeping the needle bearings clean and upright. If you have good hands and move quickly you might get it done!

He does make good videos. just that introduction is funny in my opinion. =) Happy days

In this video!!! I am a robot. I am here to take over the world and make you my slave!!!!

I took an angle grinder to my driveshaft because it was so rusty. LOL

hes a cool hippy mechanic prime example: "LOVE TAPS"

You may also want to use a vice, to help keep the caps stright when pressing them over the u-joint shaft. Because if one of the needle bearings fall out in this process you are screwed.

@Jerkwaad Only "J" Joints

Thank you for posting this video. It has been about 20 years since I replaced a U-Joint and I forgot half of the methods this guy uses. This video saved me a lot of hassle by not making stupid mistakes. Thanks again!

i like how this guy explains his methods. he is using tools the average Joe would be using. who cares what kind of hammer he is using honestly or if he is using a socket to push the cups down. its a good vid for anyone to understand.

@Jerkwaad -That's sooo corny that I had to reply.

@alaskaman73 If he is a mechanic why is he using a claw hammer? Aren't they used by carpenters?

this video is great i used it to replace my u joints on my 05 chevy colorado z71 4x4 and i had no idea what i was doin. this video showed me. if there is more of these videos by this guy someone please let me know i dont know his name to look for. thanx dude

@alaskaman73 Say that shit again!!! You want to know what? Fuck all the people bashing this dude and this video. He fixes things keeping in mind that some people don't have the tools and space necessary to perform repairs ideally. Besides, if these assholes know so much, why the fuck are they watching this video?.....Great job, expertvillage.

Its funny that they're using a Ford Explorer... cause i've had to replace 2 U joints in 1 year on my 98'

Great Job and thanks "ExpertVillage" 4 the info..Im gona do my U-Joints tomorrow and Im confident thanks to this video!!!!
