if the bit behind the bollards is a pedestrian crossing... then that second car driver could have caused a major accident with the people about to cross the road.. one of which a toddler in a buggy.. thats very selfish of him.

I hate these steel posts. Even at a place where I have the remote to lower them I always feel very uneasy driving over them.These things are just too destructive if something goes wrong.You cannot avoid people being dumb (like a naive coworker who has permission driving directly after me and totalling her car completely).These things should only be used in most secure places and not on everyday streets. Nobody deserves to get their car totalled because of a silly mistake. Write them a ticket.
@PlebScrubber, Natural selection. if someone is stupid enough to blatantly speed their vehicle toward what is essentially a steel pole, let them die. A moron could figure that it's a bad idea. People need to get brains, and the only way it'll happen is if they smash their thumb with a hammer to figure out "Hey that kinda smarts a bit, ya know!" . If they die as a result, it's because they were too stupid and a higher power sat down and said "Ok! that's enough! Can't leave you alone for a second"

when i was kid , on holidays in France we used to wait till a bus went by and then run over and stand , on the bollards and let them lifts us up :) was great fun for a kid , and one time this lady came running over shouting at us in french and she tripped over one that had just risen up in front of her and i fell off because i was laughing so hard , but this is so much funnier and the music just makes it
